Egyptian farmers forced to irrigate with sewage water - 5 Sep 09
Duration : 127 Seconds

For thousands of years Egyptians have relied on irrigation from the Nile to cultivate vegetables and fruit. Now the system that has sustained their farms since ancient times could be in danger. Egypt - Farming Chests in Amathus
Duration : 180 Seconds

The chests are always in the same position, the guardian chest will randomly spawn in small/medium/large sizes with a chance of up to 3 chests per guardian camp. All 3 civs of AOEO online can farm the chests pretty quickly, average about 3 minute per run. Each run will drop at least 3 chests or more. The chests are all lvl 35 and doing the quest in elite mode will not change the guardian chests' reward level, it will only change the reward level of the chests you get when you complete the mission. Advisors: Age 1 - Net Maker Aapep or Miner Kleon Age 2 - Infantry Sergeant Heraleides or Archer Sergeant Timon Age 3 - Pezhetairoi Commander Tumerok for Greek - Nekhbet, Protector of the Lost for Egypt - Horselord Saivash for Persians (basically we are looking for cost effective fast moving units, others can also work but will just get you less chests per hour) Age 4 - Doesn't matter as we will never get to age 4.

ACDI/VOCA-Egypt: Integrating Small Farmers into the Value Chain, Part 1 of 4
Duration : 352 Seconds

ACDI/VOCA has joined with the HJ Heinz Company and USAID to form the Alliance for Progress in Egyptian Horticulture, a public-private partnership designed to catalyze the potential for process tomato production and value-added horticulture in Egypt. This program, which will be implemented from March 1, 2008, until September 30, 2012, applies a market-driven value chain approach. It invests in the vast but largely unrealized potential of thousands of Upper Egypt's small farmers to meet modern-day market demands for product quality and quantity. ACDI/VOCA is strengthening horizontal and vertical linkages in the horticultural chain to achieve higher levels of productivity and quality by * transferring appropriate technologies and best practices to smallholders * encouraging information flows and partnerships to increase coordination along the horticulture value chain * facilitating development of commercial business service providers in production, post-harvest processing and marketing Learn more about ACDI/VOCA's programming in Egypt at www.acdivoca.org
