| | Egypt - KARKAR - Trailer for Wild Arabic Comedy Film KARKAR with Mohammed Sa'ad from 2007 Duration : 115 Seconds KARKAR is the final destination for Egyptian actor Mohammed Sa'ad's grotesque comedy on Egyptian Society. The film is unhinged, vulgar, cruel, crude, merciless satire of Egyptians and very very very funny! If you have an idea of Egyptian Society then see the representations of the society by Sa'ad and his cast of actors, you will scream your head off with laughing. But... Behind the laughing is the satire and the satire was of an Egypt in 2007 at boiling point with many frustrations. Here analysis of the acting and maniac imploding humour, gruesome characterisations and extremes of characters maybe belies an Egypt that was literally at the end of its patience... KARKAR explodes a comedy with such violence and accusation against the morality of some of the population that one cannot not question..."What is wrong?", "What can possibly motivate comedy of such intensity to attack the people with?"... KARKAR is a kind of SHA'ABI film. SHA'ABI being a kind of protest urban music, a little like Rap Music. In Egypt, that satirical and usually comical indirect criticism of flaws in society is taken to extremes by actors like Sa'ad in SHA'ABI Cinema like KARKAR. The film is basically about to what extreme people will go in order to falsely inherit money. The storyline is absolutely absurd and implausible where KARKAR [Mohammed Sa'ad], a rich heir is electrocuted and loses his mind. One uncle invents a female cousin [his secretary][Yasemin Abdel Aziz] for KARKAR'S marriage - She has ... | | Egyptian Actor Khaled Nabawy speaks from Tahrir Square Duration : 119 Seconds TRANSLATION The whole world is talking about the Egyptian people. Egyptian people demands its right and write down its greatest history. The history that the Egyptian people make today is greater than the great pyramid, battles of Ramsis II. It is the greatest thing, greater than revolution of Orabi, and evacuation of the British occupation. I come today to say that I'm with you and I share with you, and I want to say to the mothers don't be afraid as we make something peaceful, civilized, and great. Egyptian people has a great civilization dating back to 7000 years and today Egyptians proved that they are great people. Egyptian people insured itself by itself and demand a great future for its children. I want to say to the regime that it is the will of the Egyptians and in order to prevent bloodshed we request the regime to achieve people's desire and will and it is its right. Egyptian people want a democratic country and want to govern. My word to the martyr is that your blood is very expensive to us and your blood gave the people the strong will and strength of purpose. Egyptian people will never forget that its freedom has been obtained by the blood of the martyr. And in response to a question about what he wants to say to his colleagues, who didn't come to Thrir Square, he said:" I don't want to say anything to them". Tags :talk, speech, interview
