The Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, CULTNAT, was established in January 2000, as a project operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. By presidential decree, CULTNAT became, in February 2003, a Center affiliated with Bibliotheca Alexandrina and supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, thus asserting its identity and gaining physical status. Despite the fact that CULTNAT is a relatively new center, it already has a variety of ongoing programs, in addition to a vast network of cooperation with national and international organizations that are concerned with heritage. These programs, which cover many different aspects of the Egyptian cultural and natural heritage, seek to document the tangible and the intangible, ie archaeology, architecture, manuscripts, music, folklore, caricature, plastic arts, natural resources, among others. CULTNAT has not only developed action plans to electronically document Egyptian heritage but also contributes to safeguarding fragile treasures of Egyptian history through their digitization. Among these are the manuscripts of the National Archives; the stamps of the National Postage Organization; and the archives of El-Maktab El-Araby.

The film, in English, French and Italian, consists of a short introduction outlining the programme. Then follow 3 separate reports made by an independent film maker, on projects and their diverse activities in Algeria, Egypt and Malta. The activities reflect the development of a selection of projects and their achievements at different phases of the programme. Whilst the attempt was made to reflect the full diversity of the Euromed Heritage programme, it has not been possible to include images from all the projects available. ICCD and the RMSU have made all efforts to best reflect actors and projects and apologize for any inaccuracies and interpretation in the final text. There is another side of Egypt that is not so widely known. Egypt is also the land of secrets. Another history, a secret history, tells of Egypt as the inheritor of deep wisdom and magical ability from an even earlier culture. It is the account of the Egyptians themselves. As Egypt expects a new dawn after its January 25th Revolution, the Egyptian Canadian Association of Ontario (ECAO) is organizing an exhibit that will take place at Central London Public Library on May 28, 2011. "Walk Like an Egyptian" is an exhibit that will not only explore the great civilization and history of Egypt, but also showcase, using a chronological multimedia tour, insightful footage from the experiences of Egyptian revolutionaries as they peacefully protested for social justice, freedom, and democracy. ECAO invites you to explore Egyptian heritage and culture. There will be a special room for entertainment featuring Egyptian music, a photobooth, pharaonic costumes, food and much more! Egypt's archaeological and cultural heritage is unique in its wealth and abundance. However, continuous efforts are necessary to support the Government preservation and sustainable development of the country historical assets and antiquities. Since the significance of this UNESCO World Heritage site to both Egypt and the whole world cultural heritage, this joint program will seek to effectively ensure that the intervention is fully amalgamated into the Memphite Necropolis Management Plan, as delineated by Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities in coordination with UNESCO and its World Heritage Centre. Together with the counterpart agency IMC, we run a craft and design project for selected groups of MSME'S and handicrafts producers, to train them to use of local tradition icons in handicrafts production, with the aim of creating the Dahshour collection, and coordinating the technical and substantive program. We set up a local field design team to develop local expertise and capacities for implementation through workshops. A local design team was set up and trained as a full resource base for project implementation to support the Dahshour development

¨Historical cover-ups have always been a topic of interest. We re-visit the work of Ralph Ellis, who joins us to discuss his series of six books on the topic of "Biblical Patriarchs as Royal Pharaohs of Egypt". Ralph has been researching biblical and Egyptian history for more than 30 years. Being independent from theological and educational establishments has allowed him to tread where others do not dare, and it is through this independence that Ralph has discovered so many new biblical and historical clues about what might be the truth. Perhaps one of the biggest 'cover-ups' is the fact that the Israelites were originally Egyptians, the Hyksos shepherd pharaohs who were ejected from Egypt in the 17th century BC. But this simple correlation colors the rest of biblical history, for it means that both King Solomon and Jesus were also of Egyptian heritage. After being given permission to conduct a dig at the site for 2 months, Dr Martinez's team have discovered two chambers which has won them the right to continue the dig into the next season. Describing the tomb that was discovered at Taposiris Magna, Dr Martinez remains confident that she will uncover the tomb of Cleopatra and Marc Anthony.

( heritage-key.com ) Heritage Key enters the Petrie Museum in London to talk to the curator Dr Stephen Quirke, who explains the importance of one of the co-founders of the Egypt Exploration Society - Amelia Edwards. She was dedicated to protecting the Ancient Egyptian heritage from growing tourism by bringing the artefacts to Britain, and creating a museum where students could learn from the discoveries. Named after its first professor, William Flinders Petrie, the museum was set up near the only university at the time which awarded degrees to women - the University College London.
