Mzungu Kichaa was born in Denmark and grew up in Africa. He is one of the pioneers of African Bongo Flava and still remains a leading figure on the East African scene. He has recorded with Juma Nature, TID, Mangwair, Ferooz and many others since the late 90s while he was recording at Bongo Records in Tanzania. With the release of 'Mambo ya pwani' he topped the East Africa charts in 2001. This song was one of the first songs to take traditional Tanzanian music and fuse it with hip-hop. During his promotional tour at the begining of this year he performed and featured on radio and tv in Mombasa, Nairobi, Arusha, Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar. His tour was a big success which was reflected on the response he got from the media including titles such as; "Mzungu Kichaa drives Dar crowd mad" The Citizen, and "Kichaa has brought a new meaning to the word crazy" The Guardian. His performance on the Friday Night Live show was viewed by over 100 million people in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. He has recently established a record label called Caravan Records on which he has release his debut album 'Tuko Pamoja'. The album features Proffessor Jay and Mwasiti. On his Single oYa oYa, Kichaa boasts of his musical achievents from performing alongside some of the biggest Congolese artists, to playing violin in the legendary Taarab Orchestra from Zanzibar called Naadhi Ikhwani Safaa (an Orchestra that blends Arab and Swahili styles). Chanée & N'evergreen finished fourth in the Final with their In A Moment Like This! Who are they? Christina Chanée had already won several talent competitions at the age of 17. Even though she has also sung jazz, pop music has always been the pivotal point in her musical life. In 2003 she won the soundtrack competition for the Danish movie Anja Efter Viktor. The year after she became a singer in the band Nubian Fräuleins in the entertainment program on Danish TV, Endelig Fredag. During that time, she met Kid Creole, who later offered her the leading role in the production of Martin Gaye -- The Musical. Later she joined Kid Creole and the Coconuts with whom she has since toured. Thomas N'evergreen - real name Thomas Christiansen - formed his first band when he was in the sixth grade and saw his first success with the song Every Time I See Your Smile which was high on the playlist of MTV Russia. It was also played on the radio channel Europa Plus with 80 million listeners, and in the Ukraine the single topped the charts. The Russian connection was made, and he was invited to Russia to give concerts. This sparked off his big breakthrough. Since 2003 he has been living in Moscow where he continued his success. Since then he has been giving about 60 concerts a year -- several of them in front of 40.000 people.

The Danish Language has been an official Language in the Faroe Islands for 600 years. Roughly half of the Songs and Ballads accompanying the Faroese Chaindance are in the Danish Language. 'Vind op vind op i rå' is one these Danish Folk Songs, here in a Musical short Version by Harkaliðið. The term 'Gøtudansk' is given to the Danish that was spoken in the Faroe Islands with a strong Faroese accent. www.fotatradk.com

The Danish Bicycle Culture: Copenhagen was recently named the world's most liveable city -- one of its key features being the multitude of bikes rather than cars in the streets. Indeed, it is a splendid sight to see waves of bikers pedaling vigorously off to work, school, etc. Cities around the world are now looking to Copenhagen as a model for their own urban bicycle traffic. They all had in common that they, inspired by naturalism and open-air painting, sought new places and motifs, and during the course of the 1880s Skagen was transformed into an artists colony with room for both work and play. The artists favourite motifs were the fishermen working on the beaches, the tiny fishermens cottages, the landscape and the artists social life.
