Today, Cesky Krumlov is a lively town and one of the most beautiful in the Czech Republic. Although the history of the settlement in this area dates back to the Bronze Age, the high season of Bohemian Krummau can be traced back to the Middle Ages. At that time, the Germans, as well as the Czechs, influenced the cultural and social life of the charming old town. The magnificence of the local architecture is all around and brings to life the glorious ambience of bygone times. The mighty cylindrical tower of Cesky Krumlov Castle has surveyed the town since the end of the 16th century and is typical of Bohemian Krummau architecture. In those days, the lords of the castle kept bears within the castle's large moat and even now, they continue to be a special and somewhat unusual attraction. The interior of the town's Renaissance castle highlights the wealth of its former noble inhabitants and contains the famous Golden Eggenberg Carriage. Each evening, the town's centuries old buildings gleam romantically in the evening light while large quantities of world famous Bohemian beer are enjoyed in the local hostelries. Schweizerhaus is a very popular restaurant and beer house in the entertainment section of the giant park "Prater" in Vienna. From spring to fall, hundreds if not thousands of people flock to this place daily to drink a beer or eat a meal. Their most famous dish is "Stelze", rear pork knuckle, usually eaten with a side dish of horse radish, mustard, sauerkraut and potatoes or dumplings. Their beer selection is surprisingly good. One can chose from various blond beers (Czech or Austrian), two dark beers (one kind of sweet), a wheat beer with extra yeast, a red-ish ale, and so on. The beers are from Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. While the menu has everything ranging from poultry to fish, people mostly come here for the meat. Besides the pork knuckle, they serve a few interesting dishes from Hungarian recipes. My mouth is watering and the beer was excellent. In the immediate surroundings is the Prater, offering both rollercoaster rides as well as a large green space for hiking off those extra calories and child playgrounds. Prague, the Golden City, does full justice to its name. The beauty of this historically rich metropolis on the banks of the Vlatava River has been well known for several centuries. Petrin Hill and its 60 metre tall iron tower that dates back to 1891 is yet another attraction offered by the capital of the Czech Republic. A number of the buildings in the historic Jewish district of Josefov, such as the Old-New Synagogue, have been well preserved and the historic, romantic and enchanting atmosphere of Prague's Jewish Cemetery has been the subject of several novels. Considering the abundance of its historic monuments, it is not surprising that Prague continues to shine out in all the splendor of its glorious and colorful past.

Downhill skateboarding gives us the unique opportunity to search out our next skate location in some of the most unique and extreme places in the world. Be it in our own town, country or making our way slowly uncovering the globe to embrace each opportunity to hone our skills. This small country of Switzerland offers countless diverse challenges within a relatively short drive. During the filming of Greener Pastures we covered one thousand kilometres traveling to each of the ten locations (not including skating) over thirteen days before making our way to Kozakov the first European IGSA World Cup race in Czech Republic. In many cases traveling becomes more the adventure than skating, when in search of our next campsite, meal or stunning view. "The van" becomes a place of refuge which all skaters can relate to. In Greener Pastures a magic wheel is used to create a metaphor for how each of us are connected.
