A light-hearted 'documentary' that looks at life in the Czech Republic through the eyes of nine Reepham College students. I say 'documentary', but I don't really mean it. What this actually is is a holiday video set to some music, purely sentimental! The majority of the footage was filmed on a Canon PowersShot SX210IS. I haven't had the chance to de-interlace some of the footage yet and the sound levels are all out, but hopefully you can enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed the trip! An entourage of chanters, pageboys, the King and his royal cavalcade parade through town dressed in traditional costumes and riding decorated horses, stopping along the way to chant rhymes that comment humorously on the character and conduct of spectators who in turn give monetary gifts for a good performance. The specific practices and responsibilities of the event are transmitted from generation to generation. Vaenga with his Rapa Nui companions performed some of their ritual dance and ceremony in The Czech Republic this year. Mysterious and exotic people created an atmosphere of bygone era... Everything is believable. This is another wonderful fragment of a distant culture. Thanks to them - Rapa Nui historical ethnic culture is living! Good God bless you all.
