Dear Dance & Music Lovers, It all started with a little salsa weekend in 2006. Friends who remember that amazing weekend would never have imagined that Salsa Jam in Cyprus would go on to become one of the best festivals in the world and would play host to some of the most famous dancers and musicians from all around the world. The biggest Salsa Jam in Cyprus festival to date will be taking place between the dates of 6-12 September 2012 at The Malpas Hotel, Kyrenia North Cyprus. The festival includes a visit to The Golden Beach which is the most beautiful and unspoiled beach of North Cyprus. The 7th year of the festival will be launched with a special promotion and support night on Saturday,19th of May 2012 at The Malpas Hotel. It is aiming to bring all dancers, Latin music lovers and all friends together for a short time on this amazing promotion night. On the launch and support night many guest dancers and Djs will attend, many dance schools from our country will also take part with their stage performances. Cyprus village festivals are an opportunity to celebrate bygone times and traditions. A chance for families and communities to get together to enjoy each others company and the simple pleasures of life: music, dancing, food and wine. Last Sunday we attended the Rural Festival at the village of Statos, about 20 mins drive north of Agia Varvara. This was the first village festival we have attended. It did not disappoint; in fact, it was a really enjoyable experience. To us, this festival encapsulates what living in Cyprus is all about. Enjoying life to the full. Being with family and friends. Enjoying the wonderful friendship and hospitality of our Cypriot hosts. Thanks to all who made this the great event that it was.
