Luis Posada Carriles has been linked to bombings in Havana and the downing of a Cuban airliner in 1976, but despite his crimes has received the backing of the US government. Though Venezuela has 73 counts of first degree murder pending against Carriles, the US won't extradite him overseas and have charged him with little more than perjury. Coincidentally, Carriles has formally served as an agent for the CIA. Attorney José Pertierra discusses the US's mishandling of this admitted mastermind.

The Cuban Five are five Cuban men serving four life sentences and 75 years collectively in US prisons, after being wrongly convicted in the US federal court in Miami, on June 8, 2001. They are Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González and René González. The Five were falsely accused by the US government of committing espionage, conspiracy against the United States, and other related charges. But the Five pointed out vigorously in their defence that they were involved in peacefully monitoring the actions of Miami-based terrorist groups, in order to prevent terrorist attacks on their homeland Cuba. For more than 40 years, Cuba has been the target of terrorist attacks by anti-Cuba terrorist organizations based in Miami. Such groups operate with complete impunity from within the United States to attack Cuba—with the knowledge and support of the FBI and CIA. More than 3000 Cubans have died as a result of these terrorists' attacks. But instead of arresting the terrorists, the FBI arrested the Cuban Five anti-terrorists on September 12, 1998. He was born July 19, 1935 and died living in exile in Cuba January 7, 2008 of perforated ulcers. He operated a tourist website CubaLinda.com helping Americans get around unconstitutional limitations upon freedom of travel. After the US revoked his passport in 1979, Agee first lived in Grenada in 1980 until Bishop was overthrown by the US, then in Nicaragua until 1990 when the Sandanistas were overthrown by the US, then Germany and Cuba. "Will The Real Terrorist Please Stand Up", directed by Saul Landau, documents the history of US - Cuban relations involving the CIA, violence, and the 5 Cubans serving long sentences in US prisons. The film features an interview with Gerardo Hernandez, one of the Cuban Five who is currently serving life imprisonment in Victorville Maximum Security Prison for "conspiracy to commit espionage." Landau also interviews Luis Posada Carriles, Orlando Bosch, and others who have acknowledged perpetrating acts of terrorism in Cuba as "freedom fighters." Delightful surprises are appearances in the film by Fidel Castro and Danny Glover.
