Since then, people around the world have predicted significant changes in the lives of the Cuban people -- especially in the lives of young Cubans. While hope springs eternal, the Cuban government's continued use of laws that violate basic standards of international human rights makes it almost impossible for citizens to openly voice their desires for change. Despite the obstacles, many young people in Cuba risk their lives to work for a better, more just future. In the spring of 2011, Livio, an independent librarian and Cuban youth leader, visited five people: a blogger, a student, a professor, a journalist and a musician. These are their stories. Award-winning actor Cuba Gooding, Jr. and producer Rick McCallum discuss the story of the Tuskegee Airmen with Harvard Law Professor Ronald Sullivan. Cuba Gooding Jr. and Rick McCallum worked together on George Lucas's feature film, Red Tails. The movie, as well as a complementary History Channel documentary titled "Double Victory," is inspired by the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American military aviators in the United States armed forces. During World War II, the American military was racially segregated and the Tuskegee Airmen were subject to discrimination, both within and outside the army.
