Costa Rica y el grupo rico is a short documentary from director Michael J. Patterson about a community service trip to Costa Rica. Last year, students from Allendale Columbia School spent their entire February break travelling to the Orosi Valley in the beautiful Central American country of Costa Rica to help fix up a school. This documentary takes you through the eight days spent there, showing you the culture and life-style of Costa Ricans as well as all of the work accomplished by the students and teachers that participated in this service trip. Ellen was born in San Jose, Costa Rica and came to the United States when she was a small child. She is proud to be a US citizen. Ellen learned American Sign Language (ASL) at the age of 21 from her (now) husband William and has continued to teach others in ASL and gymnastics. Her extraordinary patience and exuberant encouragement have earned her a legion of grateful students including thirty actors in a local theatrical production of Children of a Lessor God. She has a rich and varied history of volunteerism as a teacher, leader, advocate, SSP (Service Support Provider) and is a member of the Georgia Association of the Deaf. Ellen is a proud wife to William, mother of two (Matthew Rice and Anjelica Rice Marsden), mother-in-law to Baron Marsden and grandmother of her precious Elena Madison Marsden. She is passionate about teaching others Deaf Culture and History and has been a featured speaker at several county Boards of Education in Georgia. She has performed in countless film and television projects in the Atlanta area including The Walking Dead, What to Expect When You're Expecting (currently in production) and Footloose which will be released October 2011. Her motto is to work hard and live out your dreams no matter what obstacles you have in your life. This spunky lady stole the heart of every person in the cast and crew of this production with her wit and charm and we are proud to say that Zombie Lounge 2011 is her favorite production in her career!

first and only little video i made in a hotel room in Brazil using Nick Cave's Oh Children and flipshare camera footage shot in Germany, Costa Rica and Belize. the actors are Tommy and Livy but it is a tribute for the children of the earth, it is an apology to them for all that we have done wrong and continue to do. I wonder what THEY think of us confused adults who are charged with their care, when they are the true spiritual creatures.

The evening opened with a panorama of fireworks and a live performance from runner-up Latin American Idol Eduardo Aguirre. Moments later the country's top marching bands, dance crews and cheerleaders took to the streets with energy and lively music to back them up. They were interspersed with ornately-costumed rollerbladers, richly lit floats and a crew of ATVers riding on their back wheels. Highlights include a brightly lit trailerbed carrying the sub-20 soccer team (who made it to the World Cup quarterfinals), a tourism float with live actors paddling down a river and rockclimbing and several Disney-themed displays.

The Little Theater Group of Costa Rica is presenting the hilarious hit comedy No Sex Please, were British. The plush Sala Garbo has perfect seating for viewing the play and hearing it while Shakespears Lounge downstairs provides refreshments and a place to hang out with the actors after the show. The atmosphere is jovial and energetic with talented people from many nations enjoying each others company and support.
