One of The World's DEADLIEST ANIMALS, The Monster Congo TIGERFISH!
Duration : 75 Seconds

The giant monster sized African Congo Tigerfish is one of the world's deadliest animals! Tigerfish is the common name for a variety of species from several different families of fish, usually due to their distinct colouration and or uniquely fearsome appearance and large razor sharp teeth. Tigerfish can grow much larger and are vastly more dangerous to humans than the famed South American piranha. Tigerfish are extremely aggressive and effective predators, possessing ingenious tracking and detection capabilities and razor sharp interlocking teeth. They are therefore one of the world's most dangerous and deadly animals! (AND AS ALWAYS, WE WELCOME ANY PHOTOS, FOOTAGE, RUMOURS OR TIPS YOU MAY WANT TO SHARE WITH THE WORLD. SEND THEM TO US DIRECT VIA YOUTUBE PM! THANKS VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE.)

Man vs Animal Part 1 of 3
Duration : 435 Seconds

Wildlife preservation in Africa is subject to very diverse policies. In the Republic of Congo, animal reserves look more like food stores for local populations than animal parks! Poaching is rife and animals are on the brink of extinction. In Kenya, where wildlife protection is an old tradition and brings important revenues related to tourism, reserves are overcrowded and animals are invading residential areas, destroying crops and threatening the security of the population.

Ape Smuggling - Congo
Duration : 1224 Seconds

October 2007 A rare exposé of the illegal trade in endangered animals, shipped to order from Congo to American zoos. Conservationist Karl Amman followed one consignment of monkeys every stage of the way. It was described as; "the biggest shipment of primates that has ever come out of the Congo". Of the 100 monkeys exported, 34 went to the United States. The zoos claim these monkeys were rescued from the bush meat trade but the paperwork suggests they were probably caught to order and illegally exported.

Where are the animals? Congo, Kinshasa
Duration : 111 Seconds

Here are some teachers taking part in a training activity. In teams they must find 6 plastic animals hidden in the room, and then write down their precise locations. The activity demonstrates how we can involved movement, competition, and time limits to get students learning English. It's a kind of sneaky fun way to do easy writing.

Loving Hugs, Inc. in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa
Duration : 337 Seconds

Loving Hugs, Inc. has had a vocational sewing program, as well as a wood workshop program in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa. Partnering with a local school in Kinshasa and their sewing classes, young women earned a living by making stuffed animals for the numerous orphans in and around Kinshasa. Loving Hugs also provided funds for food to be purchased and delivered with the stuffed animals "Hugs" to those orphans, to give them a full "Hug". We also partnered the sewing program with the Biamba Marie Mutombo (named after Dikembe Mutombo's mother, and built by his Foundation) Hospital in Kinshasa. This wonderful collaboration provided locally made stuffed animals for the children, and much-needed sewn items for the hospital! We took this incredible trip in 2009.

Gorillas searching for truffle-like fungi, Mondika, Congo
Duration : 440 Seconds

When we first found Buka's Group on my birthday, everyone was busy searching through the leaf-litter for something. We couldn't see what the small things they occasionally found were, but they obviously rated them highly, spending minutes searching for each one. I later learned they were eating small subterranean fungi, a bit like truffles. You can see the finger-marks in the earth in the opening shot, then Balema, a blackback with a slightly lop-sided face, then Buka the silverback, and finally adult female Yamilie - all busy on their fungal foray in the forest of Nouabale-Ndoki National Park, Congo.

Red-Tailed Hawk vs. Congo African Grey Parrot
Duration : 53 Seconds

One day when I lived in Iowa, I found a screeching raptor on my back patio step. I wasn't sure what he was doing so close to the house - he was huge! But then I realized, he was eyeing my African Grey parrot, Zeph. They eat small animals. I'm glad I didn't take Zeph outdoors unattended. I never knew such a predator existed in Iowa. I miss all the ground animals and birds there. More activity than in Oregon - the animals in Oregon tend to hide more even though I'm in a more rural area on 20 acres! The cougars just won't let themselves be seen! Ok, ignore my labeling, I think we've concluded this is a red-tailed hawk.
