The goal of this documentary is to lift the veil on the barbaric acts of the paramilitaries in Columbia by revealing the state complicities from which they benefit, and by establishing a clear chain of command. The film unmasks the mechanism which allows these crimes to happen, a mechanism which includes certain sectors of the society which arm and finance the death squads, and others which legitimize or tolerate their actions. We will expose the known interest groups who support these deadly acts, and others who continue to deny any involvement.

Álvaro Restrepo Dancer, choreographer, social entrepreneur Colombian-born and raised, Álvaro trained as a dancer in New York and was soon dancing professionally across the globe. But instead of pursuing this career he decided to return to his home country to teach contemporary dance to children from disadvantaged areas of Cartagena, on Colombia's Caribbean coast. Colegio del Cuerpo doesn't just teach dance, but teaches students all aspects about their body. Through this world-class institution children from poverty-stricken backgrounds have realised that there is another way -- and that they can lead creative, fulfilled lives. Much of Colegio's dance work also reflects on Colombia's difficult history involving race, terrorism and exile.
