| | Chinese Officials Forbidden to Believe in Religion Duration : 158 Seconds For more news and videos visit ➡ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ➡ http Add us on Facebook ➡ on.fb.me The Chinese Communist Party has forbidden belief in religion among its officials since the Party was founded. But after the policy reform in the 1980's, more officials have started to believe in religions. A senior Communist official recently published an article reiterating the CCP's stance. The article has attracted wide spread criticism from China and overseas. Content: A senior Chinese Communist Party official has re-affirmed the CCP's position that its Party members cannot believe in religion. Executive Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department or the CCP's Central Committee, Zhu Weiqun, had his comments published in the journal of the Central Committee, called "Seeking Truth." Zhu points out that increasingly more party members are joining religious activities, with some of them even becoming religious believers. Zhu complains of calls from within the Party to lift the ban on religion, stating, "Party members being forbidden to believe in religion has been a continuous rule in the Communist Party." He calls for a strengthening of Marxist and atheistic education in the Party. Yet many commentators believe that it's the Communist Party's policy of atheism that has led officials to search for a religious belief. [Jing Chu, Writer Based in Guangxi]: "The belief system of communism is already bankrupt, they just believe in power and personal ... As a multiplicity of religions flourish we find out why the state is so concerned. A head pokes around a golden pillar and then draws back quickly, hoping to stay out of sight. As two men drive off an unmarked police car pulls out to follow. But this surveillance operation isn't for terrorists; it's for journalists trying to speak to Christians. But why? All over China religion is on the rise and the government is happy to support it, The government has helped us build this church", says Pastor Joesph Gu, leader of one of the state accepted churches. Another pastor says that the government have been desperate to get him to register his church. So far he has refused because of restrictions on what you can preach, "If something is against our faith, we don't obey". And so his congregation is constantly stalked by secret police. He's not the only one, "Between 1994 and 1997 I was imprisoned because of my beliefs", Pastor Zheng tell us. Religion not endorsed by the state seems to be the problem. It appears that the Chinese state cannot accept the idea that many of their citizens follow the word of God above the word of the Party. | | Root of Religious Persecution in China Duration : 234 Seconds Follow us on TWITTER: twitter.com Like us on FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com On September 13, the US State Department issued an International Religious Freedom Report. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, last year the degree of religious freedom in China showed an overall decline. While this year, the problem with this issue has worsened. Religious people comment that Chinese Communist Party (CCP) wants to control all religions in China, and it will suppress any religion beyond its control. This is because the CCP endorses violence and killing, and does not believe in the sanctity of the belief. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed that in China different religious groups are likely to suffer intervention by the CCP government. For instance, Tibetan Buddhists, Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang and Christian Family Churches across China, are all under the CCP's restrictions for their religious activities. A Christian freelance writer Zan Aizong believes that the CCP authorities want to control all religions in China, turning them into its departments. He estimates that the number of Chinese Christian believers is about 70-80 million, but most of them are civilian groups that have never been officially recognized by the CCP. Zan Aizong: "The CCP wants to control all the religious organizations. But in reality, this was beyond its capability. So far in China exist two types of religious groups. One is officially registered, and the other is purely civilian. Without CCP ... Unfortunately, some of the most powerful countries are also the biggest religious rights offenders, like China. The US State Department released its 13th "Annual Report on International Religious Freedom" on Tuesday. It detailed the plight of religious believers in over 200 nations. Eight among the most serious offenders were dubbed "Countries of Particular Concern." These are countries that haven been chronic, long-term violators of religious freedom. Of the eight, China, under the Communist Party, continues to worsen, even as new economic prosperity fills the government's coffers. The situation for Tibetan Buddhists, Uyghur Muslims, Falun Gong practitioners, and many Christian groups remains grim. So-called "sensitive dates" lead to intensified persecution, as was seen during the Shanghai World Expo and Asian Games in 2010. The persecution of Falun Gong again tops the list as the largest, most systematic assault on religious believers in the world today. After his official visit to China, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture, Manfred Nowak, reported that two-thirds of all torture cases in China filed with his office in 2006 were Falun Gong. Hundreds of thousands languish in labor camps at any one time. According to the report, the communist regime ... | | Kailash Mansarovar yatra - an adventurous journey in Religion & Spirituality [Free Tibet] 01 of 02 Duration : 3369 Seconds A video presentation showcasing the journey undertaken by a group of travelers from Maharashtra to Mount Kailash & Lake Manasarovar, commonly known as the Kailash Manasarovar yatra. This adventurous journey of faith & religion is undertaken by scores of Hindus each year. Included in the video are useful information & experiences of the travelers who were part of the journey. The video is a helpful guide for those who wish to embark on the journey themselves. Though the narration is in Marathi, if you do not understand the language, the visual beauty of the journey should itself make the video worth a watch. In order to reach the destination, one has to travel to Tibet, currently under the illegal occupation of China. China, defying belief & credibility, calls it Tibet Autonomous Region. However, in reality, Chinese-occupied Tibet would be a better description of the place. China's tyranny & oppression on the people of Tibet continues, even as it expands its global footprint, threatening the peace & stability of the regions it has made its presence felt. In order to suppress rebellion & legitimate aspiration of freedoms of indigenous Tibetans, the Communist Party of China has been artificially relocating Han Chinese from mainland China and re-settling them in occupied-Tibet, thereby forcing a change of demography in the region. As a result of such large-scale settlement of people, Tibetans are on way to becoming minority in their own land. This is causing the rich ... | | Let's Play Civilization V - Game 1: China - Part 3 Duration : 1394 Seconds This is my Let's Play of Sid Meier's Civilization V, one of my favorite games of all time. It's not to show off my skill, just having some fun. Enjoy! Sid Meier's Civilization V (also known as Civilization 5 or Civ 5) is a turn-based strategy, 4X computer game developed by Firaxis, released on Microsoft Windows in September 2010[4] and on Mac OS X on November 23, 2010.[5] It is the latest game in the Civilization series. In Civilization V, the player leads a civilization from prehistoric times into the future on a procedurally-generated map, achieving one of a number of different victory conditions through research, diplomacy, expansion, economic development, government and military conquest. The game is based on an entirely new game engine with hexagonal tiles instead of the square tiles of earlier games in the series.[9] Many elements from Civilization IV and its expansion packs have been removed or changed, such as religion and espionage. The combat system has been overhauled, removing stacking of military units and enabling cities to defend themselves by firing directly on nearby enemies.[10] In addition, the maps contain computer-controlled city-states as non-player characters that are available for trade, diplomacy and conquest. A civilization's borders also expand one tile at a time, favoring more productive tiles,[11] and roads now have a maintenance cost, making them much less common.[12] The game features community, modding, and multiplayer elements.[9] Tags :linus117, linus, 117, civilization, strategy, china, playthrough, game, gameplay, walkthrough, let's, play, commentary, tactics, spain, isabella, wu, zeitian, chinese, empire, great, general, combat, exploration, science, money, culture, gold, economy, city, cities, war, allies, resources, whales, sheep, diamonds, silver, civilizations, ancient, era
