He is also the chief-editor of Varqá, an International Children's Magazine, founded in 1970. --- Fariborz Sahba Fariborz Sahba, now a Canadian citizen, was born in Iran in 1948. He received a Master's degree in architecture in 1972 from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tehran University. In Iran, Mr. Sahba was involved in the design of a wide range of prestigious buildings. Baha'i House of Worship in New Delhi, India. In 1976, the international governing body of the Baha'i community selected Mr. Sahba to design the Baha'i House of Worship for the Indian subcontinent in New Delhi, India. The project, on which he worked for 10 years as the architect and project manager, was described by Canadian architect Arthur Erickson as "one of the most remarkable achievements of our time, proving that the drive and vision of spirit can achieve miracles." AJ "Jack" Diamond, OC, O.Ont (born November 8, 1932) is a Canadian architect. Born in Piet Retief, South Africa, he received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cape Town in 1956. He received a Master of Arts degree in politics, philosophy and economics from Oxford University in 1958. He received a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1962 where he studied with Louis Kahn. In 1964, he emigrated to Canada to become the founding director of the Master of Architecture program at the University of Toronto, a position he held until 1970. In 1975, he established his own firm, today called Diamond and Schmitt Architects. In 1995, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada. In 1997, he was awarded the Order of Ontario.

This animation tells the fictional story of a group of people who gradually build up a sustainable community in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada. The story represents a wholly different approach towards architecture, but is somehow very recognizable and can even be called ancient. It integrates every aspect of life as best as possible into one design and represents a simulation of the actual construction of similar communities in different places in the world. The common denominator for these communities is that they evolve in relation to human experience rather than being planned beforehand. The intricate large scale model represents the neighbourhood in Tokyo that surrounds the Moriyama House, a project by Ryue Nishizawa. Some Ideas on Living in London and Tokyo by Stephen Taylor and Ryue Nishizawa marks the first North American presentation of residential projects by the architects and reveals their ideas addressing the challenges of building homes in existing city environments. The exhibition is on view at the CCA in Montréal from 14 May to 26 October 2008.
