(Cambodia)The Reason for Disaster-World Mission Society Church of God
Duration : 404 Seconds

[World Mission Society Church of God]The people of Israel claimed to believe in God, and the people of Judah boasted that they were the chosen people. Nevertheless, they were all destroyed. That's because they refused to obey the words of God, "Keep the Passover!" In this age, too, if we keep the Passover, we are saved; but if we don't, we are destroyed even though we claim to be the people of God.

Show 169: Cambodian Film Industry & Plastic Bags and the Environment
Duration : 2655 Seconds

Film is considered the 7th art of Cambodian art and culture. It has been greatly influential in the past, but is now enjoying a resurgence. What role does film play in today's culture and society? Cambodian Film Industry (Main Story) Between 1950 and 1970, Cambodian film was very popular among rural and urban audiences. Most films were about real life in Cambodian society. Unfortunately, the film industry suffered because of the Khmer Rouge regime, losing many famous film stars, producers and directors. Today, the industry is recovering through film series on TV and an international film festival. Equity Weekly assesses the quality of current Cambodian filmmaking and compares it to the golden age of film long ago. Plastic Bags and the Environment (Feature) In Phnom Penh, plastic bags filled with trash are an all too common site. These plastic bags can take decades to decompose. Bad waste management is a big concern because it has a negative impact on the environment and is harmful for health. Our reporter looks at some of the ways merchants are trying to contribute to a greener Cambodia. POLITICS AND SOCIETY This week Mr. Ouy Bunmy updates us on the status of the Investment Law in Cambodia. TEASER People really enjoy and relax at the beautiful beach in Sihanouk Ville. Cambodia: THE FORCED LABOR OF ANGKAR LUE/CAP TREN 1975-1979 (1/11) [KH-EN]
Duration : 471 Seconds

Directed by Vietnamese: ON 17 April 1975 of the wonderful victory of the Dracula-Yuon Vietminh + Vietcong, who, in fact, used to live in Cambodia since the murderous French colonial period, had been waiting patiently for a right time to come to rule both Khmer Kandal and Khmer Krom with their long-coveted dream of incorporating Khmer Kandal, Khmer Krom and Laos into Vietnamization in the name of their secret words of Angkar Leu/Cap Tren that were secretly used to cover up their super-dirty demonic plans, didnt really want to get caught in action by the International Court of Justice/Penal. And the secret words of pramat pramong of Yuon kidnappers had also vanished completely on 17 April 1975. But the Murderous Anonymous Higher Organisation, known as in Khmer Angkar Leu, in Vietnamese Cap Tren, an invisible organization called Angkar governed every aspect of Cambodians' lives, using techniques of psychological terror. The legacy of its insane actions remains with us today, not only in Cambodia's political and economic underdevelopment but also in the ruptured social structures that resulted from Angkars relentless assault upon religion and the family. These eight years of war had undermined the infrastructure of Cambodia. So, when the Khmer Rouge took over after declaring the state as Democratic Kampuchea, the people heaved a sigh of relief. They perceived these silent, heavily armed young men as fellow Khmer who could lead a revolutionary society. Phnom Penh for two ...

Cambodia "The Crimes of Comrade Duch"
Duration : 848 Seconds

Documentary for the Australian Audiences, David Scott and Ron Dean were two Australians, two of the millions who died in the killing fields of Cambodia, victims of the monster Comrade Duch. The Khmer Rouge killed nearly two million Cambodians from 1975 to 1979, spreading like a virus from the jungles until they controlled the entire country, only to systematically dismantle and destroy it in the name of a Communist agrarian ideal. Today, more than 30 years after Vietnamese soldiers removed the Khmer Rouge from power, the first genocide trials will start — a bittersweet note of progress in an impoverished nation still struggling to rehabilitate its crippled economic and human resources. The Khmer Rouge took root in Cambodia's northeastern jungles as early as the 1960s, a guerrilla group driven by communist ideals that nipped the periphery of government-controlled areas. The flash point came when Cambodia's leader, Prince Norodom Sihanouk, was deposed in a military coup in 1970 and leaned on the Khmer Rouge for support. The prince's imprimatur lent the movement legitimacy, although while he would nominally serve as head of state, he spent much of the Khmer Rouge's rule under house arrest. As the country descended into civil war, the Khmer Rouge presented themselves as a party for peace and succeeded in mobilizing support in the countryside. The pacifist talk belied a sinister agenda, one that would remain hidden to the outside world for years. When the Khmer Rouge succeeded ...

(Cambodia)Baptism in the New Name of Jesus-World Mission Society Church of God
Duration : 193 Seconds

[World Mission Society Church of God]People live about seventy or eighty years and die. Why can't we live forever? The Bible tells us that it is because of our sins. It means that if our sins are forgiven, we are able to live forever. Then how can we be forgiven of our sins? The Bible clearly tells us that our sins are forgiven when we are baptized in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Youth Unemployment and Solutions in Cambodia.mp4
Duration : 121 Seconds

Youth are the main supporting pillar of any country. If the youth lack jobs, they are disempowered and the national economy also cannot grow. The first segment of this film highlights how unemployment affects Cambodian society, especially Cambodian youth. The second part of the film addresses several solutions for youth unemployment that have been effective in Cambodia and can possibly be used in other parts of the world. It is my hope that if the causes and solutions for unemployment are further understood, youth will be motivated to assume diverse roles and be active in building a better, stronger society.
