Hundreds of people are believed dead following a stampede at a festival in the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh. The celebrations turned to tragedy this evening after a bridge on the Tonle Sap river became blocked with festival-goers heading to a concert. Officials have so far been unable to confirm the number of victims, but latest news reports have put the death toll at 339, with a further 329 injured. According to eye-witnesses, several members of the packed crowd collapsed while crossing the bridge to Koh Pich Island - a long spit of land in the river where the concert was being held to mark the end of the three-day holiday.
