Koprivshtitsa is a historic town in Sofia Province, central Bulgaria, lying on the Topolnitsa River among the Sredna Gora mountains. It was one of the centres of the April Uprising in 1876 and is known for its authentic Bulgarian architecture and for its folk music festivals, making it a very popular tourist destination. It was here that the first shot of the April Uprising against the Ottoman occupation was fired in 1876.

Rousse is the fifth-largest city in Bulgaria.Rousse is situated in the northeastern part of the country, on the right bank of the Danube.It is the most significant Bulgarian river port, serving an important part of the international trade of the country. Rousse is known for its 19th- and 20th-century Neo-Baroque and Neo-Rococo architecture, which attracts many tourists. The Rousse-Giurgiu Friendship Bridge, the only one in the shared Bulgarian-Romanian section of the Danube, crosses the river nearby.

The Master of Architecture is a full five year program. It includes urban planning, territorial and landscape planning, design of buildings and facilities, interiors, maintenance, restoration and conservation of architectural monuments, architectural design, spatial arts, etc. Students are included in special design studios and are competing internally throughout the course of study. Their work is usually rated in specially planned public exhibitions where some of the best Bulgarian architects and many world known international architects are present. Students are expected to make presentations of their work in front of big audiences starting from the first semester. The study is based on the idea of architecture as a profession that combines the exact sciences with the very important laws of aesthetics. This combination makes an art out of the architecture.

Following our recent trade mission to Bulgaria to look into potential partnerships and joint venture opportunities, with a view to expanding aspects of our business into the region. We produced this version with a Bulgarian voice-over and used it as part of our presentation. Followiong the trade mission, we are currently investigating developing a partnership with a furniture manufacturer and installation company, specifically looking at hotels and residential developments.

Bachkovo monastery and Koprivshtitsa are two worth seeing historical sites in Central Bulgaria. Each one can be reached in about one hour car ride from the ancient city of Plovdiv ( the second largest city of Bulgaria ). The monastery was founded in 1083 by the Byzantine military commander of Georgian origin, Grigorii Bakuriani. The bone-vault is a must-see building there because of its unique wall-paintings which rank among the most valuable works of Orthodox art of the 11th --12th century.
