In Sofia, capital of Bulgaria, is the Balkan Peninsula's most splendid religious building of the twentieth century, the Aleksandar Nevski Cathedral, a huge structure that dominates the highest point of the city. The cathedral is of Neo-Byzantine style that was popular in Russia when famous Russian architect, Pomerancev, began to design it. Particularly impressive are the fine works of marble at the main entrance and the abundant stone mosaics on the external walls and above the doors. The cathedral is the city's most important landmark and seems as though it wishes to present all of its splendour in a single moment, a work of art of the Russian Orthodox religion that can accommodate a congregation of more than five thousand. The church's basement, that was first designed as a crypt, now contains an icon gallery with more than two hundred exhibits dating from the twelfth to the nineteenth centuries. The Aleksandar Nevski Cathedral is a truly remarkable building, alive with the power of religious faith!

About 20 minutes before the program was to begin, an angry mob of about 60 men, some waving flags of the political party VMRO, gathered in front of the Kingdom Hall. The mob threw large stones at the Witnesses who were at the entrance of the building. After that, the mob stormed the door. The Witnesses called the police immediately, but they were slow to respond. At the time of the attack, more than 100 people were inside the hall, including women, children and elderly ones. Injuries resulted from the attack, and five victims were taken to the hospital by ambulance with severe injuries, including concussions. Representatives of the political party VMRO have disrupted the peaceful meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses on several occasions in the past and have repeatedly used the media to circulate defamatory lies about the Witnesses. In Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, Orthodox Christians brought jars of honey to be blessed on the Feast of St. Haralampiev. According to legend, St. Haralampiev was tortured for his faith, but using honey, he was able to heal his wounds. Honey has an important role in Bulgarian cooking but also in home remedies, but this year's cold snap raises alarms about future honey production.

Originally a studio project of Bulgarian guitarist, producer and song writer Nikolo Kotzev, who is a Finnish resident, the band has since made several live performances.One of the defining aspects of Brazen Abbot is the employment of multiple singers; every album features three or four singers, with Göran Edman and Joe Lynn Turner having appeared on most Brazen Abbot albums. Nikolo Kotzev originally intended to use only one singer; original singer Göran Edman could only commit to recording two songs for the first album due to contractual obligations. Glenn Hughes was then supposed to record the remaining songs; however contractual obligations hindered him from recording more than three songs, at which point Kotzev brought in Thomas Vikström to record the remaining songs. Kotzev was so pleased with the result that he decided to keep using multiple singers for future albums.
