Professional park guides, drawn from the local rainforest and river people, are on hand to share their knowledge of Mulu. The Rainfall Discovery Walk takes visitors through lush forest, along tumbling rivers, and into the towering chambers and ancient riverbed of Deer Cave. Brunei Darussalam is a country located on the north coast of the island of Borneo, in Southeast Asia. It consists of two unconnected parts with a total area of 5766 sq. kilometers (2226 sq. miles). 97% of the population lives in the larger western part, while only about 10000 live in the mountainous eastern part (the district of Temburong). The total population of Brunei Darussalam is about 400000 of which around 130000 live in the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. Other major towns are the port town of Muara, the oil producing town of Seria and its neighboring town, Kuala Belait. In the Belait district, the Panaga area is home to large numbers of expatriates due to Royal Dutch Shell and British Army housing and recreational facilities. The well-known Panaga Club is situated here. Jerudong Park, a well known amusement park, is located on the west of Bandar Seri Begawan. Young budding journalists from Leaders in Community (LiC) went to visit an exhibition on Islamic history at the Brunei Gallery (University of SOAS). The exhibition displays a rare glimpse of powerfully evocative books from the holdings of the most prestigious and specialised of private libraries on the East-West Interface: Travel, Science, Art, and Literature, from the age of printing; plus manuscript highlights from the last millennium. An exhibition which respects and celebrates the centuries-old relationship between the West and the Arab and Islamic world as it survives in magnificent books, engravings, manuscripts and documents, and will be the 100th exhibition to be presented by the Brunei Gallery, SOAS.
