Pakistan Attended WIEF, 2010 in Malaysia The Minister for Privatization, Senator Waqar Ahmad represented the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani in the 6th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) being held in Kuala Lumpur on 19-20 May, 2010. The 1988 F3000 race at the Birmingham Superprix turned out to be a farce after the first aborted start. The F3000 race got under way but at the first corner, Volker Weidler spun his car and partly blocked the track leaving the leading pack running away from the midfield grid. Some of the drivers was upset with this especially Russell Spence and Alfonso Vinuesa. Spence decided to delay the race once more after got tapped into a spin by Gary Evans and blocked off the track. Vinuesa did the same. They refused to obey the marshal's instructions. Russell Spence put his foot down on the brakes and refused to budge, so what the marshals did is to hoist him up with a crane with Spence still in the car! It was madness... As a result, the F3000 race got red flagged once again. Also Russell Spence and Alfonso Garcia de Vinuesa got fined for not co-operating with the marshals.
