The Reading University Malaysian, Bruneian & Singaporean Association (RUMBSA) hosted its 6th annual Malaysian Night on the 19th of March 2012! The play "Malaysia! I'm Home!" featured the very essence and culture of typical Malaysian families. From Chinese Kung Fu to an Indian dance, there was comedy, romance, conflict and drama! Starring: Lavin Nair, Nicholas Fung and Sarah Eleena. At 7.30pm, doors opened and ticket holders were being ushered into the hall. Souvenirs with typical Malaysian candies were given to the first 100 ticket holders. The show commenced with a general introduction to Malaysian culture, followed by a traditional costume fashion show. Soon after, Nasi Lemak and drinks were distributed to the audience. The play began with Bedah's story garnering in laughter with its sweet love and self-autonomy jokes. Then Fong's story proceeded, with gangsters kicking in and leading to a kung fu-moonwalk fight. And after, Rahul's story led a humorous escape from an arranged marriage but reaching a change of mind in its course. Finally, to give a perfect end, an Indian wedding and a dance were staged.

Pamela Anderson fronted at her press conference in Auckland this afternoon wearing nothing more than a strategically draped pink scarf from her collaboration with design partner Richie Rich. The pair braved pouring rain to meet with local media for half an hour ahead of their A*Muse show tomorrow. Their eco-friendly range includes swimwear and casual wear - but Anderson's choice of outfit was perhaps more casual than even Rich expected. "That is actually a scarf," he announced as they took their seats. "...She (Anderson) liked it better like this." The collection, Rich emphasised repeatedly during the press conference, was about "fun". The Crowd Goes Wild's James Somerset got a first-hand glimpse of that fun when Rich singled him out and Anderson ordered him to remove his shirt. In keeping with the light-hearted mood, Somerset obliged and was promptly told he had scored himself a modelling gig. Despite the inclement weather, Anderson said she was looking forward to seeing some of Auckland during her flying visit. A trip to Waiheke is scheduled before she flies out to Brunei after tomorrow's show. Anderson is known for her skimpy attire and admitted she would "rather be naked than wear even a bikini", but was quick to point out not everything in A*Muse's collection is aimed at extroverts.
