The city of Bruges, Belgium is one of the best preserved Gothic Era cities in Europe. Located near the English Channel it became a major trading center. In the early 1500's Bruges' access to the sea was cut off when the river filled with silt. Trade moved to Antwerp and Bruges went into a kind of time capsule that wasn't opened until the middle of the 20th century when tourists discovered this sleeping beauty. A great city for walking and enjoying chocolate, beer and lace making.

However it is not used as a royal residence, as the king and his family live in the Royal Castle of Laeken on the outskirts of Brussels. The website of the Belgian Monarchy describes the function of the palace as follows "The Palace is where His Majesty the King exercises his prerogatives as Head of State, grants audiences and deals with affairs of state. Apart from the offices of the King and the Queen, the Royal Palace houses the services of the Grand Marshal of the Court, the King's Head of Cabinet, the Head of the King's Military Household and the Intendant of the King's Civil List. The Palace also includes the State Rooms where large receptions are held, as well as the apartments provided for foreign Heads of State during official visits." He was born at Viggiù in Lombardy. His performance of the song "Love's Theme" (originally by Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra) was featured on the breakbeat compilation "Ultimate Breaks and Beats". Papetti became well known for all the 1960s and 1970s, and all his new album reaches the top of the hit parade; he was also printed in all the Latin American market. During the period of greatest splendour, the 1970s, Papetti also produced two collections a year, the best-selling being the 20th one, which came up first in 1975.
