At the heart of Barbados lies one of its greatest wonders, Harrison's Cave. Located in the central uplands of the island, this crystallised limestone cavern is a testament to nature's mastery. "The fabulous crystal-like limestone Harrion's Cave has lots of natural beauties -- streams, lakes, waterfalls, and pure water that causes stalagmites and stalactites.... cozy atmosphere and scenic views." (article dated January 2012) An electric TRAM takes visitors down a long winding access tunnel deep inside the cave system. The cave system is several miles long and with about a third of it currently open to the public. Flowing streams, deep pools of crystal clear water, a spectacular display of stalactites & stalagmites, waterfalls, fantastic limestone formations and towering columns characterise this living cave.

Oistins is a bustling fishing town, with the Oistins Fish Market, open 7 days a week selling the fresh catch of the day. The Oistins Fish Festival, which celebrates many aspects of the fishing industry, such as fish boning competitions, boat races, net throwing, etc. is held during March/April Easter weekend.
