smooth landing. this is a new bahraini low cost airline with a fleet of 2 A320s so far. They have limited destinations but Gulf Air are still the official airlin. Now a strong competition is rising between the 2 airlines.

Highlights of my trip to the V8 Supercar Challenge Series in Bahrain 2007. I was fortunate enough to be a part of this event, getting up close and personal with all the drivers. As Im a Ford fan, I posted up the ford footage, sorry holden fan guys. This is an extremely edited version making it more viewable. The Bahrain International Circuit is the Formula One Grand Prix track which makes this event even more special as the track is breathless. The pit area, below our VIP lounge and dining is unlike what we have here in Australia as you can see. Instead of using trailer trucks for drivers to change and shower between races, they have proper built facilities and its there, which makes contact with them a helluva lot easier than say, Phillip Island or Sandown ( I have yet to see Bathurst). Easy to interrupt Craig Lowndes from his cup of coffee minutes before a race to have a chat. Love Lowndes ! I was a proud Aussie watching our Racing Men compete in a foreign country. I am hoping I could do this again this year, as it was a reminder of how much I loved the sport when I was younger. Following this, I will be posting a video of the grid walk and short bits of the race, as my camera had used all the battery for that day, so got only what I could. In this video is also, for the first time, a VIP Function to welcome the drivers, where a lot of fun was had. Again, this is edited and was kinda limited as there was just so many drivers to catch up with, chat and take photos and get merchandise signed, which they were happy to do at that venue. The function was held on a tiny secluded island behind the famous RITZ HOTEL...and yes it's an AMAZING hotel!!!! Everyone's jaw dropped and sighs were heard throughout as we passed its grand elaborance. This definately was a once in a lifetime experience! And got to travel on the aeroplane with some of the drivers and MANY of the crew!
