Found this starfish and this stingray while snorkeling right off the beach at Breezes Bahamas Resort in Nassau. We also discovered a beautiful lion fish, but didn't get it on video.

Dolphin Encounters is one of the top things to do in the Bahamas and is owned and operated by a local family. This popular tourist attraction began in 1989 when two Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins were rescued from an aquarium that closed in Nassau. The animals were relocated to a large all-natural seawater dolphin habitat on Treasure Island (aka Great Guana Cay) Abaco, Bahamas. Wild footage of the critically endangered Smalltooth Sawfish (Pristis pectinata). The west side of Andros, Bahamas is one of the last places on Earth that still provides vast refuge for this incredible animal. In May of 2010, I joined Dr. Dean Grubbs and the team from National Geographic's hit show "Dangerous Encounters with Brady Barr" to explore the vast expanse of west Andros, where we were able to catch and attach satellite transmitters to two of these rare creatures. The work we did is featured on an episode of Dangerous Encounters with Brady Barr, entitled "Sawfish Giant," which airs on the National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Wild. 1st August 2010 spear fishing at Rose Island, Bahamas. SPEARGUNS and HAWAIIAN SLINGS - spearguns are illegal in The Bahamas within 200 yards of an Out Island, and within one mile of Grand Bahama or New Providence. Hawaiian slings, however, may be used to catch fish, but are strictly prohibited for catching lobster, as are gigs ... and don't even think about using chemicals! the Hawaiian sling is the only approved spearfishing device. Use of scuba gear or an air compressor to harvest fish, conch, crawfish and other marine animals is prohibited. Spearing or taking marine animals by any means is prohibited within national sea parks. Lobster or Crawfish: Six tails per person, at any time. Annual closed season is April 1 to July 31. Minimum size limits are 3-3/8 inch carapace length or six inches tail length. Egg-bearing female crawfish are protected. Six crawfish per person may be exported from The Islands Of The Bahamas. Conch: Harvesting and possession of conch without a well formed lip is prohibited. Bag limit at any time is 10 per person. 10 conch per person may be exported from The Islands Of The Bahamas. Wahoo/Dolphin/Kingfish: Six fish per person, any combination. Vessel Bag Limit: 20 pounds of scalefish, 10 conch and six crawfish per person may be exported from The Islands Of The Bahamas. Stone Crabs: Closed season is June 1 to October 15.
