Austrian soap star Christoph Waltz clinched the best actor award in Cannes Sunday for his role as a multilingual Nazi in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds." Waltz plays the smooth-talking villain of the flick, SS colonel Hans Landa, whose memorable one-liners had the Cannes audience chortling throughout the film. Critics widely agreed that the 52-year-old -- who spent most of his career in television acting -- outshone a star cast that included Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger or rising Irish star Michael Fassbender.

The videodance "moving bodies" is about a dancing trip across an abstract, moving color-scenery. It´s less about narration, but rather about poetical dreaming. The beautiful song "I want to dare" is from the austrian band Binder & Krieglstein. In the video the dancer and the color-elements are actors. They react on each other but also to the rhythm of the music. The main interest lies on the extension of the cinematic room, with the use of digital compositing- and animation technique, to the point of body-space-interaction in the videodance. susannefoisner.wordpress.com

He was born Adolf Wohlbrück in Vienna, Austria, descended from ten generations of actors. His father broke with tradition and was a circus clown. Walbrook studied with the director Max Reinhardt and built up a career in Austrian theatre and cinema. In 1936 he went to Hollywood to reshoot dialogue for the multinational The Soldier and the Lady (1937), in the process changing his name from Adolf to Anton. With the rise of oppression in Nazi Germany, instead of returning to Austria, he settled in England, and continued as working as a cinema actor. High points include the dashing, intense German officer Theo Kretschmar-Schuldorff in The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943), the tyrannical impresario in The Red Shoes (1948) and the ringmaster in La Ronde (1950). One of his most unusual films is the 1948 Queen of Spades, an odd, gothic thriller in which he co-starred with Edith Evans. Co-star Moira Shearer said Walbrook was a loner on set, often wearing dark glasses and eating alone.[1] He retired from films at the end of the 1950s, and in later years appeared on the European stage and television. He died of a heart attack in Garatshausen, Germany in 1967. His ashes were interred in the graveyard of St. John's Church, Hampstead, London, as he had wished in his testament. In 1936 the excellent actor Max Hansen did the movie Skeppsbrutne Max or Rendezvous im Paradies produced in Sweden but also in a German speaking version for Austria. The actors was mainly Swedish except Lizzy Waldmüller and Adolf E Licho. The music was written by the Swedish composer Axel Flyckt (1903-1982). This melody was also recorded by Arne Hülphers and the Syncopated quartet (Kvartetten Synkopen) the same year

He went on to Shakespeare plays and other major roles. Moving to Budapest in 1911, he played dozens of roles with the National Theater of Hungary in the period 1913--1919. Although Lugosi would later claim that he "became the leading actor of Hungary's Royal National Theater", almost all his roles there were small or supporting parts. During World War I, he served as an infantry lieutenant in the Austro-Hungarian Army from 1914 to 1916. But omfg, look how long it is 8D I think I'm out of my 1 minute phase~~~ I went to a school play yesterday... it proved to me that our school actors can't pull off Russian accents 8] -but it was fun anyways- I'm in such a good mood! Legit, Hungary (my Hungary) is doin' tons better (though she's not home yet) and even yelled at me for thinking our Prussia and Hungary cosplays wouldn't be happen for AB~ *__*. Grünau is a beautiful slice of peace and harmony after the hustle and bustle of traveling. The Tree House hostel is a gorgeous, homey feeling place, filled with cuddly pets, super friendly staff and delicious meals. It sits amongst a forest of tall trees, right by a billowing creek, away from any disturbance. HEAVEN! We started by riding bikes for 40kms to and from the Alm See lake, visiting the Wildlife Park and grabbing a delicious grilled fish-on-a-stick on the way. We ate lovely home-cooked meals by the fire, and slept soundly! We also had a slow paced horse ride the next morning to soak in more of the beauty before we had to move on.
