www.scmp.com Veteran Hong Kong actor Yuen Wah has starred in over 60 films since the 1970's. He isfrom the same stable of action actors such as Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung Kam-bo. Yuen's diverse film career included being Bruce Lee's stunt double in Fist of Fury to leading TV roles in TVB. But his latest film is far away from his usual type: he plays 'Sing Song' a Chinese chef in Baz Luhrmann's epic Australia. He was initially surprised by the role offer given his limited English abilities, but he was the perfect actor to play 'Sing Song' according to Luhrmann. Yuen spent five months in the country alongside Hollywood heavyweights Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, In this video, Yuen Wah speaks to reporter Clara Mak about his role and co-stars. He also has a peculiar way of describing how he feels about Australia as a country.

The AIF was re-grouped and reinforced in Egypt. The Infantry was sent to France in 1916 and the Light Horse remained behind to fight the desert war against the Turks. The film has been shot all over Australia. The film stars Gulshan Grover, Arya Babbar, Kanwaljeet Singh, Aparna Sharma and Pakistani actors Naumaan Ijaz and Mehreen Raheel, and Australian actor Andrew Duvall. Virsa is now complete and is in the final stages of Post Production in Pixion Studio. The music is by Jawad Ahmad, with cinematography of RA Krishnaa and choreography by Seema Desai and Jasmin Oza. They had enlisted to fight the Germans, save the British Empire and show the world what Australians could do. The reality was somewhat different. Episode Two of Australians at War looks behind the legend of this, our first real test of war, and by using the words of the men who fought and died there, puts a human face on a great Australian symbol. All the men who initially landed on 25 April 1915 are now gone, but their letters, diaries and journals remain; the despair, endurance and horror they experienced clinging to them still.
