| | Putin on Armenian History Duration : 123 Seconds For more information please read the Treaty of Turkmenchay of 1828 and Treaty of Gulistan of 1813: azerbaijan.az In November 10, 1724 Peter I the Great send general M.Matyuskin and brigadier Levasev to Baku to arange the settlement and transfer of ethnic Armenians to Baku, Derbend, Shirvan, Salyan and Iranian Gilan and Mazandaran. This arrangement was changed and fullfilled in February 29, 1828 with the Treaty of Turkmenchay when general Paskevich and SAQriboyedov started the settlement of Armenians into Azerbaijani regions such as Nakhchivan, Erivan and Karabakh. By 1832 only half of the total population of the Erivan Khanate remained Azerbaijani. Only 5 years after the creation of the Armenian Oblast. In 1850 the Armenian Oblast was reorganized into a governorate of the Russian Empire. The countless massacres of Azerbaijanis by Armenians with the aid of Russians continued and by 1897 only 37% of the Erivan Governorate remained Azerbaijani. The first clashes between the Armenians and Azeris took place in Baku in February 1905. The conflict spread over to the other Azerbaijani Khanates in the same year. When both Azerbaijan and Armenia declared independence, tensions grew and the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict ignited in Baku when Armenia claimed almost all Azerbaijani lands as part of the Armenian Republic. The Armenian Republic was also involved with a war with the Georgian Republic. Early in March 1918, in just 3 days, over 15000 Azerbaijanis were massacred in Baku ... | | Ancient History. ARMENIA Duration : 175 Seconds Ancient History Armenia is one of the oldest nations in the world. The historical homeland is the Armenian Highland, which together with neighboring territories of Asia Minor and the Iranian Plateau is considered to be the cradle of Indo-European nations. Armenians call themselves Hye and their country Hayastan. The Armenian "Hayasa" country is mentioned in Hittite sources from the second millennium BC, which were found during archeological excavations in the capital of the Hittite state. Assyrian cuneiform inscriptions from the 1st millennium BC mention the Urartu kingdom, a federation of Armenian tribes, which extended throughout the Armenian Highland. The Urartu or "Ararat" kingdom was a highly civilized state, which left behind a rich cultural heritage. One of the many strongholds built during the Urartu kingdom includes Erebuni Fortress (782 BC), located within Yerevan and from which the today s capital city gets its name. After Urartu came another Armenian kingdom established by the Ervanduni Dynasty. This kingdom was eventually subdued by Achaemenian Iran. As a result of invasions of Alexander the Great in the IV century BC Armenia became part of the Hellenic world. In 189 BC an independent Armenian state Greater Armenia (Armenia Major)- was formed and ruled by the Artashesian dynasty. Greater Armenia reached its culmination of power during the reign of Tigran the Great in the 1st century BC The vast Armenian empire of this period extended from the Caspian to the ... | | ՀԱՅՈՑ ՊԱՏՄՈՒԹՅԱՆ ԿեՂԾԱՐԱՐՆեՐԸ Falsifiers of Armenian History Part 1 Duration : 597 Seconds SIGN THE PETITION OF PROTEST! www.gopetition.com/online/24480.html Don't forget to watch parts 2 and 3 of this important film!!! The most shocking thing is that the Armenian Studies chairs of the universities in the United States have also become the vehicles for promoting the Turkish version of Armenian History. Today, the more than one million Armenian-Americans, who are caught up in their everyday work cannot even imagine that the Armenian Studies chairs in the US are busy in decomposing the Armenian national identity and promoting the False Armenological School which corrupts and distorts Armenian history and culture parallel to the Turkish design. Here are some of the prominent representatives of the False Armenological School in the universities of the United States. Nina Garsoian, Ronald Suny, Robert Thomson, Richard Hovannisian, James Russell, Peter Cowe, Alina Ayvazian, Simon Payaslian. On December 19 of 2001, the faculty board of the Armenian History department of the Yerevan State University made a public declaration and strongly criticized the False Armenological School in US and their book, The Armenian People from Ancient to Modern Times by exposing it as unscientific, full of distortions, and anti-Armenian Tags :Armenia, Armenians, Armenian Studies, Armenology, Armenological, Chairs, History, Culture, Genocide, Falsification, Denial, Conspiracy, Christian, Church, America, US, Universities, Students, Armenian-American, Ararat, Indo-European, Homeland, Armenian Highland, Truth, Justice, Peter Cowe, James Russel, Richard Hovannisian, Alina Ayvazian, Grigor Suny, Louysworld

| | Armenian history Duration : 123 Seconds Armenian history The Mitanni armies were composed of highly skilled professional troops. Their elite warriors were the maryannu, the horsemen and the charioteers of the aristocracy. The Mitanni chariots served as the models for the chariots of the neighboring armies. Mitanni chariots were sleek platforms with two wheels and a team of two horses. The horses and the maryannu warrior were well armored -- covered in bronze or iron scale armor. The attendants included archers that would fight with the noble charioteer from the chariot and the servants would attend the horses. The Armenian-Hurrian-Hyksos [Hayksos] extended their domain through Palestine to Egypt. | | Victory Against Falsifiers of Armenian History Duration : 597 Seconds The National Academy of the Armenian Republic (Department of Armenology and social sciences) made a decision (April 7, 2009) and expressed its serious disappointment regarding such intentional falsifications found in the discussed history book (The Armenian People from Ancient to Modern Times, chief editor: Richard G. Hovannisian) and emphasized that the continuous usage of such a textbook is harmful for Armenian students. One must take into consideration the fact that such publications continue to be distributed in other academic circles. The Armenian National Academy of Sciences has further asked the authors and the editor of the two-volume textbook to comprehensively reevaluate the material substance of the textbook so it can be presented in accordance with the latest scientific findings and achievements of Armenology. Furthermore, it is recommended that future publications of Armenian History textbooks should be conducted more carefully and prudentially. | | Armenian history including Artsakh conflict perspective Duration : 865 Seconds The people of Artsakh, on September 2, 1991, declared independence from the Soviet Union and became the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. The people of Artsakh along with their brethren in Armenia and the Diaspora have worked hard to maintain this independence and now, 20 years later, we, as a nation, mark this momentous occasion in our history. The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic has not been recognized internationally, yet in the last two decades has been able to establish democratic institutions, rule of law and guarantees of basic human rights in a manner that has escaped even some of the larger former Soviet republics, including often Armenia. The challenge is to ensure that this pace is maintained and that rule of law and democracy prevail in this 20-year-old state. The declaration of independence in Karabakh was nothing but an expression of the basic principle of a people's right to self-determination. This fundamental right is at the center of a rather prolonged conflict resolution process, in which this universally accepted standard is constantly being challenged by Azerbaijan, who claims its territorial integrity has been violated. Unfortunately, international mediators, who in advancing their own agendas and in speaking about other recent instances have praised self-determination as an important tenet for a people to express their will, are applying double-standards and allowing immoral interests to supersede this most basic of principles. Yet, this has not deterred the ... Tags :Armenian, history, Artsakh, conflict, Armenia, Karabagh, NKR
