The Tropic of Capricorn 1 of 20 - Namibia - BBC Travel Documentary, recorded 07.03.2009 Simon Reeve presents a travel documentary as embarks on a journey along the Tropic of Capricorn, the line of latitude which cuts through Southern Africa, Australia and South America. In the four-part BBC2 series Tropic of Capricorn, broadcast in 2008, Simon followed the southern border of the tropics region around the world. While filming Tropic of Capricorn, Simon travelled through Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar, Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. Movie recorded on an Expedition Cruise to the Antarctic Circle, February/March 2011. On Sunday 6th March we were sailing through the Drake Passage back to mainland Argentina on our ship, the MS Expedition, when a big storm blew up. The Captain reported it was a Force 12, with gusts of wind upto 70 Knots and 30-40ft waves/swell. Certainly a lovely and exciting crossing, and totally living upto the name "Drake Shake", when storms like this happen on this stretch of water.

Puerto Madryn-Province of Chubut, Argentina. It is one of the cities which undoubtedly represents very well the "Patagonia Argentina" because it combines very well the nature, wildlife and the entire adventure leaving good memories and all want to come back. God, it is good to be back on skis! It was a long winter having not skied last year due to the classic ACL, but what a blessing to be able to have made it back down to Argentina at Cerro Catedral of Bariloche for another great season. Looking back at it, a ton of pow was shredded with the SASS Global Travel family (SGT), along with many other friends and family from the Telluride area. What a great way to get back into the scene.
