This is a beautiful villa with light and tasteful furnishings. Located at the beginning of the 404 block on the North Finger of Jolly Harbour, 404A is an end of terrace unit with extra sea wall. There is a mooring built which is over 40ft and has a separate access. The villa has a new kitchen with all appliances. The Mystery of the bar known as El Chaman in Antigua Guatemala remains untold. When you enter El Chaman, Maximón is with you, art on the walls, stories, legends, people, paintings. This is a special place for one that believes. This is the story of how Maximón is with us at El Chaman for all to experience. The legend has it that one day while the village men were off working in the fields, Maximón slept with all of their wives. When they returned, they became so enraged they cut off his arms and legs (this is why most effigies of Maximón are short, often without arms). Where Maximón is venerated, he is represented by an effigy which resides in a different house each year, being moved in a procession during Holy Week. During the rest of the year, devotees visit Maximón in his chosen residence, where his shrine is usually attended by two people from the representing Cofradia who keep the shrine in order and pass offerings from visitors to the effigy. Worshippers offer money, spirits and cigars or cigarettes to gain his favour in exchange for good health, good crops, and marriage counseling, amongst other favours. The effigy invariably has a lit cigarette or cigar in its mouth, and in some places, it will have a hole in its mouth to allow the attendants to give it spirits to drink.

HARRY THOMAS DANVERS did not begin his artistic career until he arrived in Guatemala in the early 70s. There he began to study drawing in the Escuela Nacionalde Artes Plasticas in Guatemala City. His teacher was Juan Antonio Franco, who in addition to have studied in Europe also worked on a lot of murals of Diego Rivera in Mexico. He had his first exhibition in Antigua, Guatemala in 1980 and has since continued to have exhibitions there in different galleries as well as Guatemala City. In the year 2000 he won the Arturo Martinez national art contest in landscape. The idea with the miniature paintings is to make something small seem large, always using the local environment as a backdrop with native people predominating to add to the movement. It should be alive and yet mysteriously so-due to the rare and ancient setting. There are two sets of paintings and they mark two periods of my artistic career. The larger paintings date from the year 1985 while the smaller ones are from the present year 2004. Harry speaks five languages, including Maya Kiche and is the founder and director of the English Club/International Language School. He is also a professor of English and Anthropology at the University of San Carlos in Quetzaltenago. He is the author of 11 novels, and 6 bilingual books.

As the spectator comes close to it, the two motion-based sensors activate a zelio which then activate the 9 fans on the wall, at random. La pintura china clásica empezó a aparecer, a partir del desarrollo de la caligrafía china sobre el papel de arroz. La pintura de paisajes constituye el género más noble de la pintura china clásica, a través de ella se transmiten las concepciones micro- y macro-cósmicas chinas del universo. No es un arte figurativo que se haya modelado después, sino el resultado del sentimiento experimentado por el pintor que, tras la contemplación del paisaje, lo plasma en la pintura. En el caso de la pintura de paisajes montaña y agua, la armonía de los elementos yin - yang, el juego de las condiciones atmosféricas, de los estratos geológicos, de las texturas informes en blanco y negro tienen, como fundamento, una apropiación expresionista de la naturaleza muy alejada de la mimesis o imitación exacta, como sucede con la estética occidental.
