UNESCO Dia Mundial del Patrimoni Audiovisual -- 27 d'octubre del 2011 Arxiu Nacional d'Andorra Amb motiu del dia mundial del patrimoni audiovisual que es celebra el 27 d'octubre de 2011 l'Arxiu Nacional d'Andorra presenta un vídeo sobre el fons de la Societat Andorrana de Ciències (SAC). La SAC és una entitat cultural que promou el coneixement i la divulgació de la ciència en el seu sentit més ampli. Aquest fons consta de més de 1200 documents audiovisuals (1980-2010) i recull l'activitat pública de l'associació: Cicle de conferències, Debats de recerca, Diades andorranes de la Universitat Catalana d'Estiu de Prada de Conflent, Trobades culturals pirinenques i Jornades de la SAC. Aquest fons, que va ingressar a l'arxiu l'any 2003, està format per prop de 200 hores d'enregistrament de vídeos en suport súper VHS, U-màtic i Betacam dels anys 1981 al 1988. Governments around the world should follow the Chinese approach to tourism, according to the UNWTO Ministers Summit which took place this morning at World Travel Market. Taleb Rifai, Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), said: "China is seeing the benefits from giving tourism a very high priority within government. It is an example other countries should try to follow." More than 150 tourism ministers and aides attended the Summit. Qiwei Shao. Chairman of the China National Tourism Administration, said that the Chinese government started to listen when he was able to show that 109 other sectors were involved in tourism. Some 15 million people are employed directly in tourism, with another 85 million indirectly employed. The importance of tourism generally varies across the globe. John Penrose, Minister of Tourism of the UK pointed out that he is the first dedicated tourism minister the UK has had; Italy and Argentina have both upgraded the importance of tourism within the structure of their government. Mexico's tourism minister, Gloria Guevara, said that tourism was a priority for the country, which wanted to become one of the world's top five destinations. It is already in the top ten.
