Here on this video I made the film and was singing at the same time behind the camera. You can see also the sea-birds and hear the song of the flemish country. One can hear me, but not see me. The folk-songs of the flemish people of the North of France, were collected in the book "Chansons populaires des flamands de France" (folk-songs of the french flames) by Edmond de Coessemaker in the 19th century.

Lauda Sion Salvatorem by Johannes Regis Performed by the Clerks' Group Johannes Regis (c.1425 - c.1496) was a Renaissance composer of the Franco-Flemish school. Regis was quite a well-known composer in his day, serving as a secretary to Guillaume Dufay from 1464 - 1474 and being mentioned by the Flemish music theorist Johannes Tinctoris in the early 1470's. Two masses, seven motets, and two secular songs by Regis have survived, with other works being lost, including a Missa l'homme armé. He was also amongst the first composers to write for five voices, as in the present motet. She was the first one to win in the Israeli idol back in 2003 and she's still on business since then! you can learn more about her in the second part of the video which taken from Channel2 Israel and tell about Ninet and her dubbing. Ninet made just the singing voice and for the speaking part it's another actress. Okay... Personally I kinda surprise 'cause this version sounds good! and lyrics too! she doesn't sound like a typical black girl but most of singers that sing that song in different languages don't.... Petrus Leonardus Leopoldus "Peter" Benoit (August 17, 1834, Harelbeke Flanders -- March 8, 1901), was a Flemish composer. His father and a local village organist were his first teachers. In 1851 Benoit entered the Brussels Conservatoire, where he remained till 1855, studying chiefly under FJ Fétis, During this period he composed music to many melodramas, and to an opera Le Village dans les montagnes for the Park theatre, of which in 1856 he became conductor. He won the Belgian Prix de Rome with its money grant in 1857 for his cantata Le Meurtre d'Abel, and this enabled him to travel through Germany. In course of his journeyings he found time to write a considerable amount of music, as well as an essay L'École de musique flamande et son avenir. Fétis loudly praised his Messe solennelle, which Benoit produced at Brussels on his return from Germany. In 1861 he visited Paris for the production of his opera Le Roi des Aulnes ("The Erl King"), which, though accepted by the Théâtre Lyrique, was never mounted; while there he conducted at the Théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens. Again returning home, he astonished a section of the musical world by the production at Antwerp of a sacred tetralogy, consisting of his Cantate de Noël, the above-mentioned Mass, a Te Deum and a Requiem, in which were embodied to a large extent his theories of Flemish music.
