It's wrong to call this as Hindu Fatwa. Barbaric things like Fatwas and Jihads (holy wars) are not there in Hinduism. Show me a single instance of Fatwa in the last thousand years in Hindu religion where a Fatwa was issued and executed. Please save them for other religions who are it's patent holders.

Roma people, also called as Romanies and Gypsies, live mostly in Europe and Americas. Roma people, originally Hindus, belonged to Punjab/Sindh of North-west India. They believed to have migrated to Europe via Persia to escape Muslim onslaught around eleventh century AD. Rough estimates put their population at 15 to 30 million now, out of which close to 10 million live in Europe, especially in Eastern Europe.

What is India called by Indians, Bharat. The country is always referred to as Bharat in almost all Indian languages. Though India was not a single Kingdom in the past, all smaller kingdoms were refered to be a part of Bharat Khand. An old Sanskrit mantra says “Jamboo Dveepe, Bharata Khande …” that is, all kingdoms and regions in this part of the world were referred to as part of Bharat Khanda (continent) which now we call as Indian subcontinent.

Media channels are telecasting programs and debates, on Mumbai riots and canvassing for justice for the riot victims. However, there was one more rioting, equally big, that took place around the same time in Hyderabad and went unnoticed. It took lives of over 300 innocent Hindus in December, 1990.

Gujarat riots still haunt the national psyche even after 5 years. It got all the media attention it deserved and continued to get it year after year. The culprits were booked and the law is taking it’s own course. However, there is one more tragedy happening, on a much bigger scale and repeating itself every year unfortunately though. It does not attract any media attention as there are no spicy politics involved and nobody is bothered because the culprits involved are elected governments. Yes, I am talking about farmer’s suicides.
